Today went swimmingly. We got an awesome sleep at the hotel, best sleep we will have in a while most likely! Delta paid for our breakfast since they helped us have a long day yesterday, so Starbucks tasted that much sweeter. The plane ride went by quickly; we played card games, watched a movie, listened to music, and snoozed a bit. We exited the plane and were greeted by a big blast of hot air. Welcome to St. Thomas
After loading everything on the jeeps we caught the ferry. Actually, two out of three of our jeeps caught the ferry…the third was lagging behind and was going to have to catch the next one. Fortunately for us, John sweet talked the people into getting our third jeep on. Then, after we left the dock, he realized he didn’t have his clothes to preach in! He told the people in charge, and they made a huge show trying to get the captains attention. They actually took the ferry back to the dock in order for John to get his clothes. Needless to say, the ferry clapped for him as he ran back on. We got to the church 30 minutes late, but as usual, no complaints. Jeff, Doug, Jared and Anna provided the music, Hunter and I gave our testimonies, and John preached an awesome sermon. After that we set up all of our decorations for VBS, which starts tomorrow I can’t believe it’s so soon!! Today was a success; God provides and watches out for His children. Thank goodness for that.
Tomorrow the hard part starts.
