Last Day of VBS…but what a day to go out on. The kids loved it, they memorized their verses and sang the songs and did all the motions and took pictures with us and hugged us all goodbye. It was really emotional for some, but I was happy with what God had done through us on this trip. We ate lunch with the Bailey’s, which was so so fun. Then we cleaned everything up, put it all away, and left for some shopping!
Unfortunately, when I took my wallet out to pay for what I wanted, I realized that there was nothing in it. Someone had cleaned it out. The worst part of it was that the only time my backpack was unattended was during VBS. But I guess whoever took it needed it more than I did! Luckily Jared was with me, and he cheered me up and bought what I had with me. It’s a bummer, but it happens. Oh well!
After shopping we headed to the beach; I was so glad to have that time to relax and wind down. That night for dinner we got to go to Cristian and Jessica’s house, two of the kids who go to VBS regularly with us. Their house was ridiculous. We swam in their pool, played with their kids, and ate awesome barbecue. The kids were so crazy, they actually behaved better for us during VBS! It was fun to be around them for a last night though. The boys had fun throwing the kids around in the pool, and the kids just loved climbing all over them.
The night ended fairly early, with the idea of not having to wake up until 9 in the morning. Oh my goodness what a sleep, I’m so excited.
