Today was the last day of VBS and it was hard. The music and teaching and playing was all easy, and great! Knowing we had to say goodbye to the kids…not so much. We have had an amazing team this week! Not a single person was just “here”. Everyone had a role, and filled that role perfectly! Of course I am going to miss the kids, and this beautiful island, but if I have to leave, I am glad I get to leave it on these terms: the kids had a blast, our team had a blast, St. John will still be here if and when we come back!
Tonight we were blessed to have dinner at the house of some of the kids who attended VBS. We had a great time hanging out with them, and with each other. Dinner was great, swimming in their pool was better, and getting to see those kids one last time this trip was awesome.
Once again, a great nightly meeting! I love our group, every single member of it. I love their passion for Christ, and for spreading his name!
