Holly - Day 2

Finally, we are in the Virgin Islands, specifically St. John. 36 hours later. We all received much needed rest last night in Atlanta. We checked in with all 13 bags plus carry-ons with no problem. The plane was very interesting. I was seated alone from everybody else. A small child was restless in the seat next to me. So, patience was the first test of the week and it happened to be 4 hours long. Our luggage arrived safely and rental cars were picked up from Hertz with no worries. Catching the last ferry to the island almost did not happen. Evidently on Sundays, tons of tourists catch that ferry to start of their vacation. We barely made the Evening service with 10 minutes to spare. The service went very smoothly with the occasionally jokes. I gave my testimony. Nerves were absence since I prepared beforehand. John gave a thought provoking sermon that made us think about the discipline of God in a whole new way. After service, we decorated the church for VBS, while some put up the tents back at camp. Please pray for the kids that will attend the sessions. May God shower blessings upon this island. Everyone is tired and sleepy. Time to get into the tent and onto the air mattress! Blessings.
