Holly - Pre trip Journal

I have been in anticipation of this trip since we got back last year. It will be my fourth time to St. John. This year is special because it will be the last one, possibly ever. I picture it being the best one yet. While the majority of our team this year has been before, I am especially excited for the few that have not. They are in for a week they will never forget. At this point, I am nervous for things to all start coming together, but I know they will; they always do. I am eager to see our friends on the island that we have built relationships with over the past years and ready to see our team work together beautifully to accomplish what we are setting out to do. I pray we are all prepared in every way, but most importantly, that our hearts are clean and open to what God has in store for the island, and for us! Amazing things happen when groups come together and, in a very real way, serve. Our group is fantastic and I know God has hand picked each of us. It will be incredibly important for all of us to be flexible, love and serve each other, and pour ourselves out completely by giving all that we can. As we prepare, pray that each of us so humbled by God’s grace and in awe of his glory in our own lives that we can’t possibly hold it all in. I want the people of St. John to see that we carry a joy and peace that only comes from our God.
