Hunter - Day 4
The second day of VBS was very exciting. We had 28 kids in attendance, 8 more than on Monday. Anna taught the youngsters about worshiping Christ. She had a tough time getting everyone’s attention during story time, but they fully understood the review questions that were ask at the end. After lunch, we traveled to the local parks and recreation facility on the island to start painting. It was amazing to witness everyone pitching together to complete this project. Although, we had trouble with a couple things, nobody complained or was mad. We only put one coat of paint on the building, because the project itself will not take more than two afternoons to finish. We arrived back at our campsite around 5:00. I headed straight to the beach to wash off all the paint, dirt and sweat. It was really refreshing to dip your body in a cool place and come up clean. Later, we traveled to Scott Drennan’s house at the campground he manages. We ate dinner (hamburgers, hotdogs and chips) at a gazebo high atop a mountain overlooking the ocean. I realized today how everything is woven together in some unique way by the very Hand of God. Pray for Holly tomorrow as she presents the Plan of Salvation with the kids. May we be an instrument of God exclaiming the power of His Love. Blessings.
