Hunter - Day 6

Today was planned to be longer than usual. VBS in the morning…Lunch at the Westin (A resort)…finish painting the parks and recreation building…evening service at Calvary Baptist… and dinner. VBS flew by rather quickly. The kids seemed to be more “rowdy” than usual. Peter really stepped up and knocked his lesson out of the park. He’s always willing to do things that may be out of his comfort zone. After VBS, we had lunch provided for us by the Lieutenant Governor of the Virgin Islands for our painting on the island. It was held at the Westin, the local resort for tourist to be secluded from the rest of the island. We ate the best cinnamon apple pie that I’ve ever had. We finished eating and headed to complete our project of painting. Only trim and high ladder worked was left for us. Tonight, we were responsible for the evening service at Calvary Baptist in Coral Bay. The service was very inspiring to say the least. Doug led an incredible time of worship followed by John’s final sermon/lesson given as the College Minister of Brentwood Baptist. I didn’t realize it until later at dinner. He preached the best I’ve ever heard of him. The next few days will be extremely tough for me and others. A new chapter in the college ministry is about to begin. Dinner was perfect. We stopped at a local burger restaurant and grill set off of the pier. As we ate, the water provided a great backdrop to another great day. Doug was even asking to play his guitar on the stage. I realize tonight the memories do not last forever. Please continue to pray for us. Friday and Saturday will primarily be focused on the group itself. We will spend a lot of time together. It’s finally touching base with me that John and Rene will no longer apart of Brentwood College. They hold a very special place in my heart. Blessings.
