Jared - Day 3
Today was the first day of VBS, and we had a great turnout for the first day! There were like 21 kids! I think that’s a record for the first day of VBS. Usually we increase as the week goes on and word travels around the island. After VBS was over we left to go paint the kids rec center and the lady that was supposed to let us in to get the supplies had a doctor’s appointment. Sooo, we went to the beach for the day. Bummer. Actually I was a little disappointed because I was ready to do some painting, but the beach was nice too! We went snorkeling and chilled on the beach for a while. Pretty much everyone left the beach except Jeff Peter John and I, and we stayed behind and just hung out. That time was really awesome for me. Afterwards we all went to the Lime Inn (a restaurant). We all wore black for John’s birthday and had a great night. Then, we came back to camp and had our group meeting at the beach – awesome, as usual. St. John is a beautiful place.
