This week if flying by! I can’t believe after today there is only one more day of VBS! We were sitting at lunch today and this lady who was with us who prayed for our last day of VBS tomorrow and I was like “WOAH! Dang! There’s only one day of VBS left!?”
Anyway, today was awesome, per the trend of awesomeness that has emerged this week… Jeff was gone today which took away some awesomeness, but we still survived. Julie taught our group this morning at VBS and she did a great job! During craft time I went around doing card tricks for some of the kids and they eventually called me demon-possessed when I levitated in the hallway, although I assured them I was not. Then Devon spent the rest of the afternoon standing in the spots I stood in when I levitated just closing his eyes and then opening them and asking if he was levitating!
Today we ate lunch with the lieutenant governor – well not even him but his assistants – at the Westin. Lunch there was amazing as usual and we then had to, sadly, continue painting after the amazing lunch. I really enjoyed painting. As I wrote yesterday, there is just something cleansing and refreshing about hard work, and today was definitely hard work. It was pretty much all ladder work, and I was very thankful that I got to do some work today. After we finished up the painting we headed back to the camp site and myself and a few of the guys went out to the ocean to wash off the paint and we got to witness a wedding on the beach, it was pretty cool. John and Peter swam out and got in their wedding pictures while Troy and Doug wrestled in the water 100 feet away, it was how everyone would want their romantic St. John wedding.
Tonight at Coral Bay Baptist worship was awesome. Steph shared her testimony and it was really interesting! I didn’t know her story before tonight and I’m really thankful that I got to hear it. John delivered a great sermon and we ate dinner tonight at Island Blues.
Allie just betrayed me!!!
She picked up my train whistle out of my backpack and threw it to Holly! This betrayal will not go unanswered. Mark my words!!!!!!!!
P.S. For all of you who are confused, all the guys this week have been blowing the train whistles every time we hear the words “Boomerang Express”, and its driving the girls crazy, Holly and Anna in particular. Well, I thought Allie was on my, i.e. the guys side, but apparently she defected and now we have to make up lost ground, i.e. lost whistle.
