Rene - Day 2

I’ve never been one for cliché statements; however today was the epitome of the saying “let go and let God”. From beginning to end, the day was full of evidence of God being in control and providing for the group: Everyone was on time to make the shuttle and we all got checked in at the airport with virtually no trouble. Our flight was on time and went very smoothly (if you know me then you know I’m a nervous flier). We arrived on time in St. Thomas and our rental cars were available and ready (not always the case). We all made it to the ferry dock in time to all catch the ferry that would allow us to be on time to the church service we were leading that night. The ferry even returned to port after backing away in order for John to retrieve our luggage so that he could change into his “church clothes” and be ready to lead the church service after we arrived in St. John with only minutes to spare. The restaurant we ate at kept the kitchen open long enough for us to place our order—at 10 p.m. on a Sunday—when all the other restaurants had long ago closed. And the boys were able to easily and successfully put up our tents—in the dark. In each detail listed above God was the one in control. He provides. I’m anxious to see how He provides in the coming days!
