Steph - Pre trip Journal

It’s exactly a month until St. John! I get more excited and more eager to go with each day that passes. It’ll be my first time to St. John and my first mission trip to ever go on. The more I’m around these amazing people I’ve met in the college ministry the more I want to get to know them and learn more from them. They’ve been a blessing to be around these past few months and I can’t wait to spend a week with them doing mission work in St. John. I work for the preschool ministry at Brentwood Baptist, so knowing I’ll be working in a church and doing VBS makes me feel even more blessed to be able to be a part of this trip. I’m nervous to go somewhere I’ve never been and am curious what it will look and be like. For it being my first time on a mission trip I’m not really worried or anything, I just know this is what God wants me to do and I can rest in peace knowing that. I will say the only thing I’m nervous about is giving my testimony, but all I can do is pray for god to help me get it all together and to put my mind at ease and just tell what he’s been doing for me in my life. I’ve never really talked about what my testimony is but I’m excited to really just sit back and think about what all he’s done for me in the past year especially. I just can’t wait to be down there and love on these kids and let my love for Jesus Christ show to them. I can’t wait for the memories that will be made and for the lives that could be changed. All in all, I’m just really excited and ready!
